Founding pilot · tax season 2027
Stop chasing tax documents.
Your clients drop, forward, or snap them; SendTax sorts them, tells you what’s still missing, and puts the organized set in the folder you already use.
Email forwarding and folder delivery are switching on before the season.
Built for enrolled agents and firms of one to five preparers filing in ProSeries, Drake, TaxSlayer, or TaxAct.
Sign-ups aren’t open yet. We’re taking a small number of pilot firms.
How it works
Works with whatever you file in; nothing to install.
Your client gets a link
They create a login (about a minute). Then they upload from their phone or computer, or forward email attachments to a private address we give them (forwarding switches on before the season).
SendTax sorts and checks
SendTax suggests what each document is and reads its key fields; your client can correct it, and a person’s answer always wins. From what your client tells us and what arrives, SendTax builds the checklist of what a return like theirs needs, so you can see what’s still missing.
The set lands in your folder
Organized documents go to your Dropbox or Google Drive, one folder per client per year, with a what’s-missing summary alongside. Folder delivery switches on before the season; until then, you download a ZIP per client.
The offer
Founding pilot, tax season 2027: free through April 15, 2027 for up to 50 clients per firm, extensions included. In return we ask for three 20-minute feedback calls (January, March, May) and a weekly two-line check-in during season.
After the pilot
$9 per client per tax year. First ten clients free. No per-user fee, no setup fee. Pilot firms get half price for their first paid year.
What it doesn’t do yet
Better you hear it from us now than find it in February.
Email forwarding isn’t switched on yet
Clients upload from their phone or computer. The private forwarding address is built and switches on before the season.
Folder delivery isn’t switched on yet
Dropbox and Google Drive delivery is built and switches on before the season. Until it does, you download each client’s documents as a ZIP.
Check each client’s document list
The model that suggests document types is early, so we ask pilot firms to check each list. Composite brokerage statements sometimes show only one of their forms. If a type is wrong, your client or you can correct it, and your answer wins over your client’s.
Married filing jointly is one client
This season a joint household is a single client with one checklist, not two linked filers.
Some forms aren’t read yet
1099-MISC, 1095-B, 1095-C, and receipts are stored and sorted, but their values aren’t read automatically.
No state-specific checklists
The checklist covers federal documents. State-only forms aren’t on it yet.
No direct push into tax software
The folder is the handoff. You import from it the way you do today.
Security
Client documents are stored and processed in the United States only. Each uploaded document is sealed as soon as it arrives, before any processing: encrypted with its own AES-256-GCM key, and those keys are protected in Google Cloud KMS. Our written information security plan is published and aligned to IRS Pub. 4557. SOC 2 is on our roadmap; we have not been audited.
